A mountain of relaxation
Tucked between a rock wall and a hillside, deep inside a dense forest, gushes La Source. A place to relax, away from the bustle of daily life – surprising, and different.
La Source Bains nordiques is located in Rawdon, in the Lanaudière region. Its eco-modern architecture was inspired by the bare rock of Mont Pontbriand, thus allowing us into the heart of the mountain.
La Source has a grotto for relaxation, a steam bath, a dry sauna, two outdoor hot tubs near the cliff face, Nordic and thermal waterfalls, indoor and outdoor relaxation areas, massotherapy rooms, a bistro and a meeting room with panoramic views.
Treat yourself to the pleasure of an environment surrounded by cliffs and rocks, perched high in the treetop canopy.
A definite change of scenery, and a break that’s bound to satisfy you!
Nordic baths
Imagine an immense feeling of wellbeing, of fulfilment… Relaxation that stimulates cardiac function, and promotes blood circulation, the elimination of toxins and skin cleansing.
The Nordic baths are all this and more! They provide a much-needed break, and a rest that’s beneficial for the body and the spirit.
Hot-Cold-Relaxation
Within a few hours, you will alternate between hot (steam bath, dry sauna, thermal waterfall and outdoor hot tubs) and cold (Nordic waterfall, Nordic baths or the pleasure of snow), and then go on to benefit from our indoor and outdoor relaxation areas, offering you a unique panorama from within the mountain itself!
You should plan on spending about 3 to 4 hours in relaxation in order to obtain the maximum benefit from the Nordic baths. Reservations are not required for this service. Swimsuits are obligatory; sandals and robes are recommended. You will be provided with two towels, a bottle of water and a locker key with your entry to the Nordic baths.
Please note that Nordic baths are not recommended for pregnant women, people with cardiac or respiratory problems, or those suffering from diabetes or hypertension. The advice of a doctor is recommended.

Hot Stone Massage - Outdoor massage
This massage eases any tension in your body by alternating gentle and deep manipulation. The emphasis is on relaxation and soothing any pain. Its calming, beneficial action is appropriate for both active and sedentary people. The aim of this massage is to generate a feeling of complete relaxation and benefit.
The therapeutic massage penetrates deep to banish tension, stimulate muscle groups, normalize blood circulation, soothe pain and ease muscle spasms. This massage focuses on the specific areas of the body that require greater attention.
Through the heat and energy they release, basalt stones induce relaxation that is intense and stimulating. This massage encourages the elimination of toxins by increasing circulation in the body’s blood, lymphatic and energy systems. The texture of the stones is both smooth and exfoliating.

Feeling a little hungry, or really thirsty? The Bistro allows you to boost your energy during or after your period of relaxation. A healthy menu is offered throughout the day. The Bistro is the ideal spot to take in the panoramic view that the location of La Source offers you.

- From Montreal, take the Pont Papineau or the Pont Pie IX.
- Take the 440 East
- Take Autoroute 25 North
- At St. Esprit take Route 125 North
- After the village of Sainte Julienne, take the right fork (Route 337), towards Rawdon.
- At the first traffic light in Rawdon (intersection with Restaurant Tournesol, IGA and Maxi), turn left on Queen St.
- La Source Bains nordiques is at the end of Queen St.
From the 440 East, it’s easy to follow the signs for Rawdon. They are well marked.
